Our members live and work in the Bay Ridge Community and share common interests: to speak out against the war in the Middle East, the loss of innocent lives, and the need to promote a sane foreign policy.

We work locally on peace initiatives, bringing our views to the attention of the public and our local elected officials. We welcome the participation of all Bay Ridge residents who wish to join together to promote legislation to bring our troops home and to petition our officials to stand up for peace.

WE TAKE THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

• Immediate withdrawal of all American troops from Iraq, Pakistan & Afghanistan;
• Universal disarmament and the abolition of nuclear weapons;
• Closing Guantanamo Bay Prison; and
• New York State funding for testing of all returning veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, including the Gulf war, for depleted uranium poisoning.
